These weeks are popular with single people and couples wishing for "time-out" from a busy world to connect with nature and the loving peaceful atmosphere that Igue Que Ratzo provides.
Private art courses with Rana in her studio is available for two hours in the mornings and afternoons.
The studio will be open throughout the week with a vast range of paints, different media and plenty of paper for when you feel inspired to paint, draw or write.
Three delicious healthy meals a day are provided. Vegetarian or vegan if required.
Vegetables are grown organically from the garden and fresh vegetable or fruit juice is served daily.

There are two "Magical Mystery" days per week ( optional ) where we can visit the local medieval villages and markets, go canoeing on the beautiful Aveyron river or visit the breathtaking waterfall at Cazals.

One of the most delightful features of the house is the way it opens out through large french doors from every room to give immediate access to the garden,swimming-pool area, the shady verandah and the outside fire-place barbecue. Surrounded by shady trees, it is never too hot even on the hottest days.

The weekly courses can accommodate one person, or a couple sharing a room.( Self - catering family holidays without Art courses can accommodate six to eight people ie you rent the entire house )

THE LOCAL AREA

St Antonin Pigeonnier Montricoux Bruniquel

The Aveyron Gorge is an area of exceptional and very diverse natural beauty, left largely untouched by the activities of "modern man". Patches of forest, outcrops of hills big trees in the valley, small shrubs and juniper bushes on the plateau, all interspersed with the traditional small - scale farming of crops and livestock.
Everywhere the impressive examples of the long tradition of building houses with local lime-stone.

Penne St Antonin Penne

This area is spectacular for sightseeing, walking and hiking, visiting the local markets, swimming or canoeing in the beautiful Aveyron river and numerous other activities.
Here are some watercolour paintings that I have done of local villages including medieval St Antonin Noble Val with its famous sunday market.
